Syndicus Scientific Services Continues to Grow EHR Adoption Practice

May 11, 2011

Over the last year as it has continued to grow its Electronic Health Records (EHR) Adoption Practice, Syndicus, Inc. has added 22 professionals well-versed in this federally mandated healthcare initiative to its Scientific Services practice.

Among these new additions are Todd Norris and Robert Sheesley, who are both serving in lead roles for Syndicus’ contract with HEALTHeLINK, an organization that was awarded the country’s largest grant to advance the implementation of EHR and telemedicine for patients with diabetes and other chronic conditions. Norris is serving as Beacon project director, while Sheesley is the project director of the Universal Public Health Node (UPHN) for HEALTHeLINK. Syndicus staff members also serve as project managers, system integrators, clinical transformation experts, business analysts and associated resources in support of multiple HEALTHeLINK initiatives.

Over the next six months as the EHR practice becomes more widely accepted and implemented, Syndicus intends to add at least a dozen additional healthcare professionals to its staff.

“We are excited about our alliance with HEALTHeLINK and the chance to make a positive impact on the healthcare industry,” said CEO Michael McNees. “These professionals bring the right mix of health information technology and EHR adoption that has allowed them to be productive very quickly. We are currently working with Maryland and Pennsylvania to expand our value propositions to these states, in which we have talented resources to meet client goals.”
